ARA AUSTRALIAN CYCLING TEAM

The ARA Australian Cycling Team is the green and gold home of Australia’s best cyclists. At the Santos Tour Down Under, the team ordinarily provides a glimpse into the future of Australia’s rising stars on the road, while also providing high-profile Aussie riders outside of UCI WorldTour teams the opportunity to compete on home soil at Australia’s biggest stage race.

In 2024, the squad will be full of experienced, big names in Australian women’s cycling. Veteran Sarah Roy leads the squad at her third TDU start to kick off her 12th season in the pro peloton. The 2021 national champion is joined by her 2022 successor, Nicole Frain, who raced in the inaugural Tour de France Femmes that same year. Roy’s Cofidis teammate Josie Talbot joins the squad to add more experience, as does EF Education-Cannondale’s Lizzie Stannard, who had an impressive 2023 season that included debut starts at the Tour de France Femmes, Giro d’Italia Women and Vuelta España Femenina.

2023 National Road Series winner Emily Watts brings some red-hot form to the team ahead of her first season full-time season in Europe, and Western Australian Darcie Richards brings plenty of excitement as the youngest rider on the team.
