Groupama-FDJ was founded by former cycling great Marc Madiot in 1994 who retired following a leg-breaking crash in that years Paris-Roubaix. Madiot had previously won Paris-Roubaix in 1985 and ’91. 6x Lithuanian national champion Ignatas Konovalovas will be making his Santos Tour Down Under debut in his final year of professional career before his retirement at the end of the season. Rudy Molard won a stage at the Paris Nice in 2018 and temporarily wore the red leader’s jersey at La Vuelta the same year.
