THE CITY OF Adelaide Tour Village will open for eight days from Saturday 13 January, with the traditional team presentation and free opening night concert presented by Cycling Tips highlighting the opening night.

Opening at 3:00pm, the Village will provide an exciting gathering place for riding enthusiasts, food and drink lovers, festival goers and families.

Then, at 6:30pm, the teams of the men's and women's pelotons will roll onto the stage to meet the fans with legendary cycling voices Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen.

Capping the night will be the free concert with multiple ARIA award winner and homegrown South Australian singer Guy Sebastian.

Your chance to pick-up incredible goodies

To celebrate 20 years of the Tour Down Under, there will be amazing, exclusive giveaways to the first in line at the City of Adelaide Tour Village opening at 3:00pm.

Organisers will hand out lucky bags, some of which will be 'lucky' enough to contain one of four signed Santos TDU jerseys from fan favourites Simon Gerrans, Thomas de Gendt and other surprise riders!

Enjoy Australia's largest Bike Expo

At Australia’s largest Bike Expo, you have the chance to walk among the world’s best cyclists and their teams in the Team Zone.

Here you can watch the mechanics work their magic, meet your favourite team members and see an exclusive photographic exhibition of Women of the Peloton presented by The Advertiser, as well as the TDU 20-Year Photo Exhibit.

In the Central Bike Zone you can view the world’s favourite cycling brands, test the latest bikes and cycling equipment, and be inspired to deck yourself out like the pros with official merchandise and products.

Free Autographs with the stars of cycling

On Saturday, you have the chance to meet and greet local legend Anna Meares (3-4pm at the MAC Box under the Big Bike) and then the teams from Trek-Segafredo (5.30-6pm in the Central Bike Zone at the Trek Stand) and Team Sunweb (5-5.30pm at the Giant Stand in the Central Bike Zone). Stay tuned for updates on signings as the days go on.

Throughout the Village, your tastebuds will be delighted by the likes of Grinders on Tour Café, Coal Cellar + Grill and Gelista just to name a few. Squid Inc and Moorish Bites will be amongst those in the Feed Zone, too.

As the evening progresses, Team Presentations and the Free Concert presented by CyclingTips will take place.

From 6.30pm, you will be introduced to the cyclists from the Santos Tour Down Under and Santos Women’s Tour Down Under by international voices of cycling, Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen.

Once presentations have concluded, South Australia’s own ARIA Award winner Guy Sebastian will take to the stage to perform some of his biggest hits in front of thousands of local fans.

And that’s just the beginning of the Santos Festival of Cycling.
