Legends' Night Dinner
You've watched them race and marvelled at their speed, strength and spirit.
Now it's time to hear the stories behind their success.
The Santos Tour Down Under Legends' Night Dinner celebrates the biggest names in world cycling, with riders interviewed on stage by renowned commentators Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen. Sir Chris Hoy, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, Anna Meares, Cadel Evans and Mark Cavendish are among legends honoured in recent years.
Three time Tour de France and two time UCI World Road Race Champion, Greg LeMond traveled to the Santos Tour Down Under to be honoured at the Legends' Night Dinner in 2015.
Greg LeMond became the first non-European professional to win the Tour de France in 1986. After a life-threatening gunshot wound during a hunting accident in 1987, he defied all odds by returning to win the Tour in 1989. The next year, 1990, saw Greg once again wearing the Yellow Jersey at the end of the Tour de France, making him one of the greatest cyclists of all time.
