Adelaide is South Australia’s capital city. It is easily accessed by air from all Australian capital cities and many international destinations. Adelaide Airport is only eight kilometres from the centre of the city, which is about a 15 minute drive.

Adelaide Airport (ADL) also services regional, domestic and international travellers. There is a $AU2 levy on all taxi fares to and from the airport. The average taxi fare from the city centre to the airport is $AU20. 

International air travel to Adelaide

Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Air New Zealand, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Virgin Australia and Jetstar International fly to Adelaide from various countries. Qantas offers international access to Adelaide through code-shared services with Emirates.

Air travel within Australia

Several Australian airlines travel to South Australia. Qantas Airways, Virgin Australia and Jetstar offer frequent daily services to Adelaide Airport from Australia's capital cities.
