Television and radio coverage

In 2014 Adelaide will again play host to Australia’s most prestigious cycling event, the Santos Tour Down Under.

Broadcast exclusively across the Nine Network and Gem, calling all the action will be the international voice of cycling, sports broadcasting legend Phil Liggett, along with his long-time commentary partner Paul Sherwen and Australian cycling legend Robbie McEwen. The broadcast will be hosted by Wide World of Sports’ Tim Gilbert.

Coverage of the opening round of the UCI WorldTour will commence with the People’s Choice Classic on Sunday, January 19, followed by Stages 1-6 of the Santos Tour Down Under from Tuesday, January 21.

To cap off an intense week of cycling the entire final two stages of the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under will be broadcast live on Saturday, January 25, from 11.30am AEDT on Nine and Sunday, January 26, from 12.30pm on Gem.

During Stages 1-4, the Santos Tour Down Under will also be covered in Nine News updates, as well as daily highlights packages on Nine.

On Australia Day, January 26, FIVEaa will broadcast live from the start/finish line on Bartels Road in the CBD for the Be Safe Be Seen MAC Stage 6.

Listen to Nova 91.9 at the end of each day’s stage as they wrap up all the important highlights and results of the day.

891 ABC
ABC Grandstand SA’s Peter Walsh and Anthony Tucker will be joined by cycling champion Patrick Jonker for ABC Radio’s coverage of the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under.

From Sunday 19 tune in for race updates, team and rider interviews and live coverage and analysis. Ian Henschke will be broadcasting Mornings live from 9am with Walsh and Jonker for the San Remo Pasta Stage 1 from Nuriootpa to Angaston on Tuesday 21 January.
