Introduction
The Santos Tour Down Under is Australia's premier international cycling race. It will be staged in and around Adelaide, South Australia from 15 to 22 January 2012.

The world's cycling elite will contest an exciting 51km circuit race, the Down Under Classic, followed by the six stage Santos Tour Down Under over a distance of 803km.

Tuesday 17 January  - Stage 1 - Prospect to Clare 149km
Wednesday 18 January - Colemans Group Stage 2 - Lobethal to Stirling 148km
Thursday 19 January - Stage 3 - Unley to Victor Harbor 134.5km
Friday 20 January - Bupa Stage 4 - Norwood to Tanunda130km
Saturday 21 January - Jayco Stage 5 - McLaren Vale to Old Willunga Hill 151.5km
Sunday 22 January  - Stage 6 - City Street Circuit, 90km*

To cover the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under, media must be accredited.

Collecting media accreditation passes Media Accreditation Passes for approved applicants must be collected in person from the Santos Tour Down Under Media Centre (Hilton Adelaide). Further details on collection will be provided at the time accreditation is confirmed.

Entry and immigration requirements

International media travelling to Australia to cover the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under will need to make their own entry and immigration arrangements. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship deals with all applications for entry into Australia. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship provides further information. Visas should be applied for as early as possible.

Media centre

The Media Centre for the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under will be located inside the Hilton Adelaide, the official hotel headquarters of the event.

Facilities that will be available to accredited media at the Media Centre include:

> Telephones and facsimiles 
> Wireless internet access (wired for photographers)
> Official results and race information
> Help desk

Please be aware there will be no media sub-centres at stage finish locations.
