BikeExchange Stage 5 is a favourite for the spectators as it often decides the eventual winner of the Santos Tour Down Under.
The day started in McLaren Vale, famous for its winemaking. The town was in party mode before the peloton headed for the iconic Willunga Hill, where fans flocked to the side of the road to cheer on their heroes.

Adelaide city is easy to get around by bike. Hire a free bike from BikeSA. Cycle along the sealed, off-road Linear Bike Trail. Hop on the trail near the Adelaide Festival Centre and follow the River Torrens west to Henley Beach. Refuel at beach cafés and restaurants after your ride.

The Adelaide City Council Tour Village and Bike Expo can be found in the re-developed Victoria Square. In 2016, it was bigger and better than ever. Make sure you're there in 2017 to enjoy the atmosphere and check out the latest cycling gear.
