About the Bupa Challenge Tour
The 2015 Bupa Challenge Tour was held on Friday 23 January.
Starting in Glenelg and finishing in Mount Barker, cyclists had the option to choose to ride the full distance of 151.7km from Glenelg or a shorter challenge that was right for them with three other starts: Willunga 118.7km, Mt Compass 77.5km or Macclesfield 27km.
The Bupa Challenge Tour is the official recreation ride of the Santos Tour Down Under. The event enables participants to ride Stage 4 of the Santos Tour Down Under just hours before the professionals hit the road.
Participants can select one of four starting locations to suit their ability and are provided with an official jersey and refreshment stops along the way, including snacks, drinks, medical and mechanical support.
Registrations for the 2016 event will open later this year.
Times were again recorded for the 2015 event.
