Mutual Community Challenge Tour Victory Salute Competition Winners
This week Mutual Community was pleased to present the Mutual Community Victory Salute Competition for all participants in the Mutual Community Challenge Tour presented by The Advertiser. The winners have been selected!
For the chance to win one of 10 Mutual Community Challenge Tour jerseys signed by Stuart O'Grady, all participants had to do was simply ride under the finish arch in Victor Harbor (within the allocated time) and raise their arms or in some cases legs in the air in the sign of victory.
If your salute is pictured below please email your contact details to Brooke Freckleton along with proof of identification to claim your prize.
Do you ride on a regular basis? Ever dreamed of being a pro cyclist but just couldn’t give up your day job? Well, here’s your chance to ride the same route as the top guns of world cycling. The Mutual Community Challenge Tour 2007 on Friday 19 January offers serious riders the opportunity to test their skills while riding the same route that the professionals will take on Stage 3 of the Tour Down Under.
More than 2500 people donned the exclusive jersey and participated in 2006. Socialise and chat with fellow riders or set a goal to beat your personal best – it’s up to you.
The 128 kilometre route begins in Stirling in the Adelaide Hills, less than 30 minutes from the Adelaide city centre, and ends at Victor Harbor, a popular seaside holiday spot.
If the full 128-kilometre stage distance is a little too far, you can choose the shorter 84-kilometre route departing from Ashbourne.
128 kilometres
Start: Stirling at approximately 7:00am
Finish: Victor Harbor
84 kilometres
Start: Ashbourne at approximately 8:00am
Finish: Victor Harbor
Entry is open to experienced cyclists who can ride the full 128 or 84 kilometre distance. Participants should have some experience in long distance rides and be regular riders.
If you are unsure of your capabilities we suggest you try some of our training tips posted here.
