Bigger and Better
The 2007 Tour Down Under is set to be the biggest yet, with a brilliant blend of new events allowing more people than ever to ‘feel the rush’ of cycling. Launching the 2007 Tour Down Under today, Tourism Minister Jane Lomax-Smith says a new 20km Fun Tour for families and a Night of Stars event at the Adelaide Super-Drome will be added to the event program. Road Closures
There will be rolling road closures along stages 1-4. The Tour Parade vehicles indicate that the arrival of the riders will occur within the next 20 minutes. It takes 15 – 20 minutes for all competitors to pass by at any given point.
After the last rider as passed, the green light vehicle and final police escort will pass and the road will be open to traffic. More information can also be obtained from local council offices.
